This is why everyone should just openly carry their weapons, legally, of course. That's one thing I've noticed about protest differences. Cops will always treat you like royalty if you're in groups with guns. Hell the guy in Uvalde was by himself killing kids and the cops were too scared to go in after him.

They'll rough you up when they see you being peaceful, but they'll get the act right when you're organized with force. It's one of the reasons why Texas banned militias.

"left" or "right" they're all enlightenment liberals here. No one is so inclined to abandon this position and the comforts it provides, everything else is a larp. We live in a liberal republic and things will only continue in that direction tbhwitcha. What is being "conserved" if not folk, religion and monarchy? Free market economics? That's a liberal concept in the grand scheme of things.

What I'm getting at is I believe nobody here is truly illiberal enough for this projection to take place. They may talk shit but I have a hard time believing it moves beyond that without significant multi-generational changes.
