Some of them are written as being tough like Tony or Furio or even Christopher when he was sober. Others are written as being weak or cowardly like Pussy, Benny, Junior, or Matthew. Tony beating the shit out of Coco for threatening his daughter is probably the most masculine 'tough guy' scene in all of television.
