I disagree. Nothing you you said about the others is wrong. But Opie was an insecure cunt who dragged the show down. He knew he was shit. In his insecurity, he'd always try to beat down on people he thought were weaker. Like Fez. As a person, he might be the most tolerable of the three. But that's not much.
Edit: BTW, listening to the show, I get really pissed that Patrice came in and entertained throughout for free while boring Norton got the paycheck. Opie's paycheck might have been an even bigger injustice though.

Opie the Destroyer was actually pretty hilarious. And a ton of the best O&A bits came out of him just fucking with people. But that was *all* he had. He could never be funny but he could be inappropriate.
The problem is the towards the end he stopped being Opie the Destroyer and started being Opie the boring henpecked father of two. And then he had nothing. Around that time Nana also stopped being funny and started morphing into the twitter obsessed racist hack that she is today.
