This is something a 51 year old man texted to his co-worker in reference to his business partner of nearly 20 years who was sitting in the same room with them.
Getting past the fact that middle aged men shouldn't act like demonic teenaged white women belittling behind their backs, what does this text message convey on a deeper level?
It conveys an ongoing vitriol, and INTENTIONAL mind games, manipulation, mental torture. Aintfunny and Norton were deliberately toying with Opie and gaslighting him on the air and in that studio when the mics were off. Those two queen creeps would giggle at every little word they each uttered, and would completely tune out Opie or no-sell him. But then would pretend to be his pal, like Stupid Norton going to concerts and games with Opie. Getting rides home with him. It becomes evident during the times where you can hear Aintfunny and Stupid Norton reluctantly laughing because they just can't help but find the Opester amusing even after lying to themselves and each other about who the real don boss that started this here thing ever was.
The context behind the text message is even worse -- It came the first show after Aintfunny was bashing FH Riley's on twitter. So why would Auntie Cumia be gloating about the fact that Opie wouldn't look at him? Because he WANTED Opie to be pissed off at him over the FH Riley's rant. Because he only did that to provoke Opie, because he wanted Opie to explode on him (coulda been a model) and quit the show so he could be with Norton, which is what Opie kept suggesting they do. Split the show so Opie did mornings with Norton and Aintfunny and Norton do afternoons with some overlap. But of course Aintfunny realized he would be taking on responsibility and an actual workload, pressure of actually delivering, so he opted out. Everything that happened in Aintfunny's career, he fell into. The youtube commenters will have you believe Opie somehow miraculously made the perfect fuckups that made them millions of dollars 2 or 3 times over. But Auntie was just benefitting from Opie's footwork.
