The DMAN can’t imagine that Anthony was cutting weekly or biweekly checks for THAT long without growing resentment toward Joe that cannot be hidden.

He ranted about paying off his wife, who he CHOSE to be around. So just imagine how much he would hate Joe for guilting him into paying him off or making it ugly and awkward.

Honestly? Props to Joe for figuring out a way to bilk funds from his once-wealthy relative in ways that most others couldn’t or wouldn’t lower themselves to. Everyone knows Anthony is a confrontation-avoiding ASS and would give in. But it takes brass balls to ask your Younger Big Brother for a hand out.
