I give it the end of the decade. Won't be universal. People with money won't stand for getting a hand out and insist people like them don't deserve one, the academics and liberals and what not, and they will skew what "universal" means, but I can see Disability benefits being extended to anyone who chooses not to work or work limited hours regardless of health.

I was predicting that the future is going to be those who work and pay tax being outnumbered by the "useless" class. Maybe not outnumbered but they'll be the pandered to group because of the victim hierarchy reigning supreme(victim how? doesn't matter). That's my second gripe. I'm heading up a design department and all of the drafters under me put out terrible building plans and make tons of mistakes, and the whole time they act like they're God's gift to the company because they know a CAD program. I just fired one on Friday because he couldn't get anything right and constantly gave me attitude every time I returned his plans with corrections. Then there's this other cock sucker...
He convinced the owners to let him work from home recently - which I just put a fucking stop to - and last Friday emails me a half hour after the office opens up to tell me he can't work that morning. He says (I swear to fucking God), "I can't work this morning because my wife is sleeping and I need to watch the kids. Then I have to take them to a play at 10a." I'm really having to jump through hoops trying to get the OK to send this faggot packing.
Meanwhile the laborers and truck drivers all want to be promoted to skilled positions, but are so fucking dense that they can't even read a tape measure. Half of them have vaped their fucking brains blue and just walk around in a fog all day.
