It's easy: no bacon, egg, cheese on a roll this yada yada.
I was going to do it last month but postponed it. I picked a hell of a time to do it because most of the time I've been in lockdown, but I didn't have any strong urges to go out and buy any booze.
Aside from fucking up my sleep patterns (but having better quality of sleep) I felt better throughout. Lost a bit of weight, ya know what duuuude...
The only thing hard about quitting alcohol is not the alcohol itself. The cravings are gone after three days. The biggest prick of it is, your calorie intake plummets, and I guess your glucose does too, so for the first week I'd have a Dr. Pepper or two to adjust. I've rid myself of any shitty drinks and junk food for three weeks. You'd think you'd lose weight right after stopping drinking, but it starts melting off far later.
So right now I'm celebrating with whatever was left in my liquor cabinet: Zubrowka Polish vodka, what's left of a bottle of Jameson, and a hotel-size champagne from the back of the fridge.
Thing is, I really don't see much appeal in it any more. If I drink again, I'll do it once every fortnight. I couldn't go back, I don't think. I would never try and undo any positives of eating correctly etc. with a fattening beverage on a school night ever again.
You hear that, Pat, you fat alkie? LOL yeah my story's real but that's why I posted this. SIKE
