When I was young, I had a terrible job at a gay retail department store, like a Macy's but not that one. I worked a couple of "Black Friday" sales, and it was always really disturbing. It's kind of interesting how no one really misses those humongous malls, and no one ever waxes nostalgic about them like do with record stores. You got both things wrong. Barstool signed them and in the span of two months they went from like 5k downloads a week to 2mil downloads a week, it did not "immediately tank".
The show was then signed to Spotify for 60mil. And most recently, Sirius signed it for 125mil.
