Randomly got me a little man-date at work on Wednesday night!

Quiet night, one fella in a Newcastle United shirt comes in, sits at the bar and checks I'll be showing the Newcastle game. I confirm and he settles in. We start getting into a light chat about football every now and then. Chat gets more detailed and eventually I'm just posted up across the bar from him anytime I'm not serving, having a conversation. He asks who I support, I tell him AFC Wimbledon and he brings up the live commentary of their match on his phone so he can keep me updated. For the rest of the night we both dual-support Newcastle and Wimbledon. Then it starts.

One of us makes a random prediction, the other expands on it and then that very thing happens. Between us we predicted goals, shots hitting posts, substitutions (including when they'd happen) and even the exact time Wimbledon would conceed an equaliser. The Wimbledon game goes to penalties, and we win (G'won Wombles!!).

I make a comment to him that it'd be typical of Newcastle go to penalties as well, and we have a laugh about "what would the chances be of both of us having a shootout and both of us winning?" I then make some comment about a fairytale ending where we then draw each other in the next round, he expands saying especially if Wimbledon are the home side and get the gate revenue. He jokingly says "If that happens we'd have to go. The wife might not be happy at me travelling down again but what choice would i have". I assure him it'll be fine because with my schedule it'd have to be a Tuesday night, likely one that my gf was working, to even be an option.

Newcastle eventually won the game. On penalities. AFC Wimbledon play Newcatle United at home on Tuesday 17th September. My girlfriend is working that night and his wife is visiting her sister that week.

Guys, i think this might be it. The real thing. The way that the stars aligned all night makes me think we honestly could be talking about....BRUV at first sight!
