The Merger

So how did it happen?

I mean, really. Fuck the official version, I'm talking about the reality of how a company that had objectively better technology, better programming, better management and a much larger audience (which Sirius never equaled) got bought out by a company that put a fucking little dog as their thing. Who greased who? What fucking happened?

I've always believed that it was part of a longstanding agenda to destroy O & A - or, if they couldn't destroy them, control them. I will never believe otherwise, and honestly sometimes I feel like driving to the Sirius XM building and setting myself on fire.

Keep this thread on topic, please. No hater fantasies where you pretend not to know who they are, that they didn't have ratings, etc. all the hacky old gags your masters have taught you. It is transparent.

Gay boring answer: both companies had been operating at a loss for years before satellite radio even got off the ground. And when it did, they were still spending more than they were raking in competing with eachother. With only two rivals operating in this niche, satellite was a zero-sum game and they were each burning ludicrous amounts of money to acquire exclusive rights, not just with Hoo Hoo but with car manufacturers, sports events, etc.

It quickly became apparent that the Cold War dynamic benefitted neither party and they would be far better off striking a deal and monopolizing satellite jointly, instead of pissing away gorillions trying to kill the other to achieve the same end result the hard way. Something had to give, one way or the other. It was just a matter of who would blink first.

Why XM buckled first despite seeming to have the upper hand, we'll probably never know for sure. The decisions were made deep in the bowels of neurotic shareholder meetings, upper management politics and secretive coporate negotiations. God's light and wisdom does not shine in such places.

Thanks for reading my blog, tune in tomorrow for this week's edition of What the F?

When will you guys realize that although Kikes worship money, the Entertainment "Biz" is not really about the Profit motive? Most movies lose money for eg, but summer blockbusters still get produced again and again. Entertainment operates on some other metric, I think, social engineering and esoteric shit. humiliation rituals, etc.

I'm only a goyim and don't know dick about the media business, but I think it came down to the Jews running Sirius were more interested in running satellite radio, and the Jews at XM were more interested in cashing out, so they made the accounting work.

If it's really about cashing out and other things in the fiscal realm, explain why for eg "The Wheel of Fortune" or "The Price is Right" still on network tv after 60 years? You're telling me there's still people watching that shit? Would you believe Nielsen ratings figures for it anymore than a couple thousand???

No, not even boomers like the mom from Requiem for a Dream are a thing anymore, yet they still have that thing on daytime TV...I think its some occult perogative or something. Same goes for a lot of shit.

What’s weird is that they retained and still to this day use the XM DC headquarters which has been like 95% empty for 2 years. Seems like a huge waste of money, especially since it’s in a nice part of town now.

I still see a lot of people watching both those shows. People keep them on as background. Their prizes have gotten worse/not updated, and their cost of production has undoubtedly decreased. There are a lot of shows like this. Why does Comedy Central play the office for 12 hours a day? Background TV, and it’s easy to sell to advertisers.

Yeah I still watch price is right now that I’m working at home. It’s good for background since I don’t want to watch 8 hours of sports talk and there no unbiased news on TV
