It's not half as bad as some folks make out. Like Artie Lange, his comedy worked best as a third mic on radio. His stand-up was too topical, and his personal habits were too niche for it to translate to a bigger audience.

The last time I watched any of his act, he was mostly just riffing on news stories he read on his phone. He'd make some retarded joke, it'd bomb horribly, and he'd use it as his bit, interacting with the crowd about how and why it bombed so hard. It was the whole act, too, at least based on what I saw of it. And he still blinks a lot and makes those annoying faces.
