I tend to side with alcohol/drugs because being sober isn't interesting in the fucking least. "Yeah, my wife and I went to a soccer game and then took it easy for the day", wow what a hero. Meanwhile Denver is a total shithole from druggie idiots who won't ever amount to a goddamn thing artistically and are a literal burden on the normal taxpayers.

I'd rather hang out with teetotalers these days. Drunks were fun to be around when I was a drunk, too; but now I hang with people who sometimes drive my kids home from school. Prefer they aren't pedo-alcoholics like Cumia.

I prefer those who can indulge moderately, or at least don't make their substances of choice the basis of social interactions. I'd rather hang out with a reformed crackhead than a former alcoholic. Better stories and less preachy.
