I worked at a restaurant that would let you get a burger rare. The beef was ground daily and we never had a problem. I don’t understand why anyone would enjoy a rare burger but it’s their money so God bless.

Don't know if they still do it this way but when I worked at Red Robin we had to ask people:

"some pink, or no pink?"

"huh?"

"like, how do you want your burger cooked?"

"huh? oh....uhhhh..........medium rare?"

"well we can only go as low as "some pink" which is like med/med well"

"oh....uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.............................."
