I think that’s part of it - R&F show was driven by phone calls so I’m sure they picked up on him while Ant and Opie knew he had nothing to add. Like I remember Joe calling R&F but it would lead to nothing and Ron picking up another call. Also Ron was the puppet master so I’m sure he liked putting Joe who I’m sure bugged them as much as ONA to come on only for him being nothing to the table. We know he gave them the black Earl but I’m sure he sent plenty of songs they never played because they were shit.
