What’s happening:
We all live in a 50 story building. The foundations were built by a certain type of people who maintain them diligently.
Another group of people who don’t reside in this building but covet the land it’s on who hate us have convinced another group of people that it’s unfair that group of people get to maintain the foundations, and that being a qualified structural engineer isn’t what entitles you to do it, it’s being black and gay. They are now replacing the ground level with these people.
The building is shaking and creaking, it’s leaking and rotting. I’m asking if we should talk about this, and people are telling me to think about the stories above me, or saying if I really cared I’d leave the building and my family behind in it.

Also, I didn't even consider this because it was just a part of life at the time, but I'm Canadian. There's a particularly shitty native reservation right outside my town. All through highschool, they were blocking off railways and essentially just pulling terrorist shit so we'd all go fight the Natives on a regular basis, even ones we were friendly with outside of that shit. I have a dent in my fucking head from a baton that I got fighting for white people. As a kid. I don't hate the Natives either. I played for my team and got my hands dirty. I always had some respect for them not just laying down and taking shit. They all banded together, we all banded together. The fuck have you done other than whine and pray? I'll bet every rural Canadian poster here has similar experiences.
