Probably because it was ALL a phony showcase. He wasn't mad at the staff, he was likely covering for himself, the one who booked Ron and CF on the same show. He just didn't want to feel and look so stupid with the visual element so he used his staff as an "Excape Goat"
Just like Stupid Aintfunny Cuminya used his own fans as an Excape Goat against Bill Burr. And just like he tried to use Opie as his Excape Goat for getting his dumbass fired on his day off. Do you know how dumb you gotta be to get FIRED ON YOUR DAY OFF? ON A FRIDAY???

Opie really is mentally ill. He's smarter than Anthony. He's probably not as smart as the Worm and he's definitely mentally ill. Honestly, it's kinda sad as he doesn't seem like a bad guy. Out of the three of them, he's probably the most moral.
