Do you have a "problem with authority?"

I have like a retarded and pathological problem with authority or anyone talking down to me in general. I'm willing to punch most people in the face and I'll let them know that.

My past several interactions with cops have involved me losing my mind on them Tomlinson style. I just have no patience for anyone treating me like I'm dirt. Especially since I always start out really polite

As you said it's lose-lose, they're conducting an investigation so they can just throw you in cuffs until they identify you and conlude the investigation.

Let's review your authority bucking stories though:

  • Being sassy to teachers (semi-retarded public servants).
  • Being snarky to managers in extremely low end jobs (but not so much that you get fired!)
  • Giving the cops your details when asked.

If this was 1860 you'd be allowed in the house.

You're not wrong, but The DMAN wasn't trying to illustrate out of control system bucking, just a general lifelong pattern of issues with authority.

I just have no patience for anyone treating me like I'm dirt. Especially since I always start out really polite

The DMAN is in the same boat. It's almost like he uses the fact that he is normally mild-mannered and goes out of his way not to bug people irl that when someone has the audacity to act like he does -- he leans into it and unloads on them. Because they're taking for granted the favor he's doing to them by being gracious.
