They weren't surrendered and we wanted revenge/immediate end to the war.

Who, exactly, should we have nuked after 9/11?
Islamic Holy Sites. Or threaten to. This is what a real "war on terror" would look like. Its what I would have advocated for if I were a general in your camp and 9/11 was presented to me the way it was.

Dropping Nukes on Vietnam after the Gulf of Tonkin incident makes infinitely more sense (on their metric) than doing it in Hiroshima/Nagasaki when the Japs signaled their surrender.

You know what they did instead? Drop more CONVENTIONAL bombs on Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia...than all of the European theater of WW2 combined. What does that tell you? It tells me if nukes were real, they would have used it then.

Why would they not use it there but did in Hiroshima/Nagasaki? Please make it make sense. "MAD" was still not a thing in 1964 (a bunch of sassy Soviet nukes in Cuba...who cares? Look at Japan today, it's thriving, maybe the Soviets retaliate by nuking Miami in 1965, who cares? Hiroshima in 2024 is thriving).
Except Golf of Tonkin was clearly fake and we wanted a protracted war in Vietnam. They learned from Korea it was too short.

Why Nuke a surrendered adversary?
They weren’t surrendered yet. The US was planning to nuke Japan as a show of force and they didn’t give a shit how weak they were. The threat of the Russians against them at that point in the war would have made them surrender alone. But Truman getting into office with 0 prior knowledge of the nuke led to it happening.
Why not nuke an actively belligerent one after 9/11?
Because by 2001 that would be MAD. And even if it weren’t, setting off a nuke for the first time in 60 years against a population would be a huge no no.
One nuke precisely taking out the Kaaba...and not only do you save trillions, you also overnight make billions of Muslims lose faith in Allah ("He cant protect his own House of Worship, but in the quran it says He has...Allah must be fake). One nuke and you instantly mentally crippled your biggest hurdle (Islam) in your war on terror.
You also kill millions more innocents than you would in conventional warfare and decimate any historical, archeological, or basically society in the country. There is no telling if the blast or shockwave or fire would spread unintended to neighboring countries.

Im 100% non-troll mode.

The destructive nature of Nukes sound like a fantasy...Nothing about the ppl who invent/come up with this shit demonstrates an ability for them to restrain from using gamechangers...yet Nukes were only used once in combat and everything else has been in "control", even with the USSR collapsing and shitholes like Ukraine and Kazakhstan having stockades of nuke-warheads.
Maybe it’s because nukes look like big peckahs and no one wants to destroy big, sexy peckahs.

A few weird factoids:

  • The U.S. set off something like 30 nukes, about an hour from Vegas, when above ground testing was still legal. If fallout has a half life of hundreds or thousands of years, why is Vegas inhabitable? Occasionally you'll hear the story that John Wayne got cancer from that. (He filmed a movie nearby.) But Wayne smoke like a chimney, and died of stomach cancer.
  • Marc Andreesen is a fairly smart dude, and makes an interesting case, basically arguing that nukes were a pysop. In particular, how do you film a nuclear explosion? At the very least, the amount of light would be like photographing the sun from just miles away AND the explosion would destroy the camera. Andreesen argues that the footage was plain ol' VFX.
  • Both Russia and the U.S. have never showed away from obliterating cities. Tokyo was bombed into the stone age in WWII. Why have they never done the same in the last 78 years?
  • Russia could end the Ukraine war this week with a nuke or two. What's stopping them? It's certainly not that they're "nice;" they've steamrollered tons of cities, even their own, in various wars.

found a new forum for us to infiltrate wyzzter: https://big-lies.org/nuke-lies/www.nukelies.com/forum/index.html

(Im going to be a 3rd generation Hiroshima resident whose mum skin peeled off in the bombing, because it was FAKE prosthetics and I have the proof!)
  • Comparing pictures of Hiroshima and Nagasaki with pictures of Tokyo show the characteristics of destruction to be about the same.
Yeah why would a country that was firebombed for like a month straight look the same as a city with one nuke dropped on it?

(refuses to realize most of the destruction from Hiroshima came from the ensuing fires and not the initial explosion)

Uranium 235 has a half life of hundreds of millions of years. But you know what happens in a uranium 'explosion' (fission), right? It doesn't stay as uranium (reminder: you're overloading the nuclei with neutrons, splitting the nucleus and releasing more neutrons). What happens when you change the number of neutrons of an atom? No more uranium. The result is krypton and barium, both of which are radioactive but with half lives of minutes or seconds.

This is like asking why the town next to Chernobyl is still inhabitable. You could not go live near a nuclear test site in Nevada. Look up the Bikini Atoll and see what happened when we started dropping bombs there. Hint: People got fucked up because they lived around radiation.

(Also doesn’t acknowledge difference between hydrogen and atom bomb - the latter leaves more fallout)

Because the cameras they are using are not your iPhone’s camera, which would break at recording an explosion. Also the explosion would not destroy the camera if you are far enough away from the explosion.
  • Both Russia and the U.S. have never showed away from obliterating cities. Tokyo was bombed into the stone age in WWII. Why have they never done the same in the last 78 years?
Because we signed a shit ton of treaties saying we wouldn’t and that it’s inhumane and why we can’t cook people with flamethrowers, because conventional warfare leaves (ironically) less civilian casualties and is more profitable, and because nukes cause irreparable damage to infrastructure and societies and the land itself and their effects are uncontrollable
  • Russia could end the Ukraine war this week with a nuke or two. What's stopping them? It's certainly not that they're "nice;" they've steamrollered tons of cities, even their own, in various wars.
Refer to above. And because every NATO aligned country would move immediately obliterate Russia as a country, wether with a million missiles or…a lot of nukes. Then Russia nukes us back. Then we all lose

I’ve seen you mention the west nuking Muslims(Mecca in particular) numerous times over the years…Is being nuked by western powers something many Muslims fear? I feel that people in the west have never picked up on this.

I believe that Pakistan sold the few nuclear warheads they had to western powers years ago…Part of the deal was everyone involved would continue to pretend Pakistan still had them as a deterrent to India.

No...I've yet to hear it discussed in Islamic discourse. The main fear rn is Al-Aqsa being demolished by Jews.

Your Pakistan theory is 100% what their military cadre lapdogs would do if Nukes were a real thing. Absofuckinlutely. But India would find out.

Look at these liars, loool...half assing it cuz 'dig-nuh-tee'
If you had taken my introduction to international relations crash course like I offered, you wouldn’t humiliate yourself and hurt your brand with threads like this. But you lack humility.

Your pride is a great sin. And you will be punished for it.

“Is there not in Hell an abode for the proud?” (Surah az-Zumar 39:60)

“One will not enter Paradise if one has an atom’s weight of arrogance in his/her heart.”

“[To them] it will be said, “Enter the gates of Hell to abide eternally therein, and wretched is the residence of the arrogant”

You lack تقوى and you know you do.
