How do you find contentment with being inevitably irrelevant in life?

What’s your handicap? I’m usually in the low 90’s. I’d probably do better if I decided to play either sober or shitfaced. Just need to stop doing both. I also had 7 birdies this year. New career high.

Not that good. I think my best was 20. I belong to a country club that’s pretty tough at times. I’m not terrible, but all my approach shots basically roll off the green into the rough or sit just in front of the greens so my birdie putts become chips or like 40ft putts.

I’m going to try to see Rich Vos soon and I’m going to invite him to play. I think he shoots in the high 70s so it’d be interesting to put him to the test. Plus I’ll pay for his round and maybe lunch after but that’s about it.

The first half seemed amazing in the moment, but upon post evaluation it was more like finding simple things profound. Like how some movie idea you came up with in your dream seems smart for the first 5 hazy minutes after waking up.

Our course has pretty narrow fairways so if you don’t hit a good drive, you’re basically fucked. My drives are very streaky. If I’m driving well, I’m generally playing well. I’ll drive well for two rounds and then go to shit for one or two.

I don’t think I know one single regular person who can hit a 3 wood. Fuck that thing. My brother got a 7 wood and he loves it so I may check that out next.

I’d offer to play sometime but I’m terrified everybody here is either like that Leslie simp ol anal egg or that one unhinged psycho who’d post clips of himself challenging Joe Cumia to fights circa 2017 ish. It’s not just for my protection, you don’t know what shit I got either.

Haha me too. I did hit a 300 yard drive once last year though. Sometimes I feel like I belted it straight and it was only like 220 haha. I’ve put a lot of effort into fixing my slice though. Sometimes I hit it straight and it’s less than 200. Most frustrating sport ever tobehonestwitchya.
