I can read a bit of French (dat immersion) a bit of Latin, a lot of Hebrew and Ge'ez

self taught in Akkadian/Neo-Aramaic (using my Arabic base)

Mandarin is not a scholarly language (if by scholarly, you mean: you need to master it for academia outside Mandarin/Chinese studies)

I did French from 8 y/o till Common Entrance (13) and GCSE (16) and Latin from 8 till 18 (CE/GCSE and A-Level). Ancient Greek only GCSE (13-16).

Obviously French is the only one that's had any real world usefulness. Greek and Latin only in terms of translating text in churches/appearing poncey in terms of referring to texts read in the past/understanding legal and medical Latin terms.

Btw A-Level Latin (Oxford and Cambridge Board) - easily the hardest exam I've ever done. Way more rigorous and difficult than any uni or professional exam afterwards.
