He got fired because he wouldn't leave Howard alone? I thought he got fired for this:

Also, what are the odds that both of his co-hosts died within a year of one another?

quote from the end: "cheers to therapy, cheers"

He's actually putting those zoomer brain rot animated subtitles on his videos now? Opie, it's over. Your time of being relevant is long gone. Just accept it already. Christ.
The only other place I have seen animated subtitles are on the lowest of sloptent channels and tiktoks, and they do this for people who watch without sound. Who the fuck would watch a podcast without sound?

SXM wanted to fire him and used the Roland complaint as an excuse to fire him without having to cite Howard.

There... Did you really need that broken down for you, dumbass? Any other pathetic questions, jabronie?
Look here. Look, listen!

They didn't use it as an excuse. He gave them a valid reason to fire him. He had less than six months left on his contract. If they really wanted to get rid of him due Howard, they would have just let his contract run out. Not fire him at the risk to get sued for wrongful termination.

Would Sirius consider to fire him if he didn't obsess about Howard as much as he did? Probably not. But him lying about it and you pretending that it was all about Howard and not about him filming and distributing scatporn of an unsuspecting coworker is ridiculous.

Nice try with the hate though.

He actually said that he had a good show going with Carl Ruiz and Vic Henley and "the guys". The Opester really is fawkin delusional to be perfectly honest witcha
Edit: for the uninitiated: when Sherrod would walk into the studio they’d stop mid conversation and yell, “YEEAAHHHH!” Often times they’d throw their hands up. I think Opie really thought that Sherrod was on the same level of hilarity as Patrice.

Edit 2: his ego was insane at this point and he encouraged Opie to spread it around. He was on LOS that night and looked like he was going to cry because he just fucked his own gravy train up.

Sherrod is the least funny comedian I have ever heard. I’ve listened to clips and he has never even made me smirk, much less laugh.

Though it was not "great", Opie Radio was better than Jim and Sam and The Jason Ellis show.

And isn't there some Godawful show on that channel? "Covino and Rich" or something?

That show was so aggressively terrible, I'd genuinely prefer listening to three hours of advertisements instead.

The Peter Principle talks about how people who are mediocre at their jobs are often promoted.

For instance, I worked on one of the smart phones that predated the iPhone. I got PIP'd and was sticking around for the PIP, assuming that I'd be fired at the end of the three month PIP.

During those three months, I was assigned two contractors. Management basically said "you are not getting your shit done, so here's two contractors to "help you out."

They never SAID IT, but I assumed that I was basically training my replacements.

Naturally, I did the "quiet quitting" thing. I began showing up at work at noon, I would go straight to lunch, and then I'd spend the afternoon applying for jobs.

Four months passed... And nothing happened.

After two more months, I went to management and asked "can I have some of the work that's assigned to my contractors?" Six months had passed since I'd been put on a PIP, and it was looking like I wouldn't get fired after all.

Managements answer?

"Nah, that's alright, we like how things have worked out. Continue doing what you're doing."

All I was doing was looking for a job, and apparently it was no longer necessary. So I'd stumbled into a promotion.

Opie is the ANTI PETER PRINCIPLE.

He literally should have segued into management, and let Norton and Ant do the show. He could still "hang out in studio." There are plenty of radio show producers who contribute to a radio show. Isn't Baba Booie a producer?
