At the Drive-In.
It was kind of a shame they split when they did (Mars Volta and Sparta both sucked IMO), but it should have just been left alone. After years of Cedric Bixler (a bit of an uppity faggot I'm finding out more and more) and Jim Ward saying there was no way they would ever get back together, they finally re-united for a few shows around 2012, and it was God awful. There was no energy on stage and it was completely phoned in. I honestly thought they did it shitty on purpose just so people would stop whining for them to get back together. They pissed off their original fanbase by deciding not to do any shows in El Paso where they started. But, social media loved it, and they did a few more shows before putting out a new album sometime in 2016 or 2017, which was just cut down Mars Volta horseshit. It's unlistenable compared to Relationship of Command and In/ Casino/ Out.
