What's the haps with Commander? Why is it so gay and Standard is and will always be the clearly superior format? WWAWD Sol Ring?
I think my Syr Konrad, The Grim deck is upward of $300 now. It's got Necropotence in it. I also have all foiled out Feather, The Redeemed. I'm all about the The-s.

I genuinely enjoy Limited formats more than Commander. I would totally be into Standard but of the 4 LGS’s near me, not one has a regularly scheduled standard game. I think I enjoy 1v1 20 life more than commander. I do enjoy 2HG but I get one of those in per new set release.

My childhood friend had an older sister around 20 y.o. when Magic first popped off. She was really into collecting fantasy art (remember those pewter dragons and wizards at the mall?), so all of her first edition cards ended up in binders because she just liked to look at them.
Assuming she didn't become a meth addict, there's probably tens of thousands of dollars worth of pristine cards in her closet.

I HEARD about "magic the gathering" just by proxy, like I knew who "snooki" or "rey mysterio" was, just by being in touch with pop culture.... figured it was gayshit like rune escape or world of warcraft, you know, that the freak/incels played.

Drafting and cracking 3 packs is like crack to me. I legit like it more than sex. At least I'll get a good Rare out of it. Nobody will draft though everyone is curating their 30 shitty commander decks like their life depends on it. People suck at team drafting and don't understand signalling. Fuck.

I have a group of other gay faggot men in their 40s and would meet up at one guys house and drink and play. Otherwise I go to board game stores when they have magic events and play against randos.

i enjoy playing magic. i play online (when i play), used to play a lot in person. the lore is super gay faggot shit, i haven't played it for 2 years or so. when they went big in on the diversity shit i couldn't handle the artwork anymore (the nigger women especially, they're ugly). i like the competitiveness of it.
i tried warhammer 40k or whatever it is. that is just gay men playing with army men. weird.

A few years back maybe even 10 years now I guess half the garage sales I went to had a binder of these or Pokémon’s and goddamit I was just there for some cheap tools. Got a snap on ratchet for a dollar and a bunch of garbage otherwise while I’d be laughing to the bank with these stupid cards now
