He did a terrible job explaining the situation. He did not explain swatting or what had been done to Patrick and Lynn. There was literally nothing she could have done with the information he provided.

This is surreal.

She asks a second time where these people are and how Patrick got in touch with them and his father exasperatedly repeats "On the internet."

Yeah, she got that, stupid. But you gave her the first and last chapters of the book and left out the 25 chapters in the middle. Either Rick didn't explain to his parents what happened, or he tried to and they just weren't able to follow because it's so convoluted. Likely a mix of both.

What a complete waste of time that conversation was. Poor dispatcher has the chief up her ass and she's gotta deal with this nonsene.

It’s amazing how everyone in his family (except maybe his brother) is an arrogant asshole even though Pat, Tommy, and mama ravens are white trash living in the middle of nowhere. The Tomlinson’s always saw themselves as better and above their neighbors.
