It's inevitably going to contain bloatware just by virtue of being Windows 10. There's only two retail editions of 10 and both of them come with a bunch of shit that the average person doesn't want but 90% of them aren't going to even notice or raise a fuss over.

I have a HP laptop for personal admin, and I have a thinkpad laptop for work.

I’ve not had a good PC I’m so long. I realised I don’t even know where to get one that isn’t absolutely full of bloatware bullshit.

I don’t want to build my own, I know it’s cost effective and better, but I don’t want to, the last time I did that was also about 2010 and I don’t want to learn how again. I’m not a hardware guy.

Best place to get a good pre built PC that isn’t loaded up with bloatware?

Microcenter. You buy the parts and they’ll build it for like $150. No bloatware or anything, install the OS yourself. And they have premade bundles and stuff. They’ll call you if anything you picked is not compatible.

I'm in the same boat, haven't built a PC in about 15 years and wouldn't know where to begin now. Only use a PlayStation for gaming now, fuck building a computer that 2 years later won't be able to play the newest games without having to upgrade parts in it.
And I'll never use any OS that came out later than W7. I'm convinced anyone that uses W10 or W11 is borderline retarded and needs to have their computer simplified.

This is horseshit. My PC is 10 years old, upgraded the video card from a 1080 to a 3080 4 years ago and can still play demanding games at 1440p over 100fps. My cpu is the bottleneck, 8600k@5ghz. 3080 was free after using it to mine Bitcoin during the boom.

I miss my gaming PC. I have two laptops. Ones for work. The other is for torrents and gaming when I'm on it. It just about runs Left 4 Dead at full speed.

But usually, I would be playing Cannon Fodder or Command & Conquer Remastered. While I wait for my download to finish.

If you're really not comfortable with building your own desktop, then just buy a Steam Deck, a dock, and plug it in. You can get rid of SteamOS and replace it with Windows if you need it. It's $400 for the 256gb deck, $80 for a dock, and $40 for a 512gb MicroSD. There you go.
