I'll take the bait. I have never listened to the Sam and Jim show because when O and A were live the Sam Roberts "pre show" coincided exactly with my 30 minute commute and it was fffuuuuccckkkkiinnngggg ennnrrraaaggging. I did not find Sam pleasant to listen to. That was admittedly ~2013 so things may be different.

Can you share a clip from the Sam and Jim show that is good? For example, if someone asked me that about O and A I would share the Jimmy childhood pranks clip or the erock bashings, etc. Obviously the Sam show isn't as good as O and A but do you have anything decent you can share ?

No time stamps but it feels familiar, comfortable and flows much better without an old man constantly bringing up dirty and naughty things that most men don't engage. I mean as Sam, Travis and Troy have been getting older, it had become weirder and weirder when the Worm brought up kids pissing in his mouth, discussing other humans' body odor, cuckold shit, farts, on and on and on... He just became a creepy old man and you could tell the other 3 were long over the deviant nonsense.

I got a few chuckles out of him being a sarcastic tard-wrangling peripheral character back on O&A. That's the only thing he's even remotely suitable at, though. Any time he's given creative control the result is ghastly.

He's a lot like Jim in that he has a niche talent for assholery that shone on the old show (though way more limited in the case of Sam), but left to their own devices, what they really want to do is the laziest and hackiest shit imaginable.
