It pretty simple - he took a radio gig that requires him to be in New York most of the week most of the year. He prefers the safe contracted gig to projects that require risk. 1. Laziness: Jim’s entire life is based on putting as minimal effort as possible from stand up to broadcasting to even his personal life. Most of his time with Opie and Anthony it was basically someone setting everything up for him and all he had to do was spike the ball. Even his dating life/romantic life was about putting as little effort into it (he expects orbiting to work) to the point he married a trans trophy wife who used to be a camwhore, who he promised to spend his fortune and make a big star. That is literally taking the easy way out instead of putting in the effort to find a mate.
2. There’s nothing to Jim outside of his sexual degeneracy which is a bug not a feature and his love of KISS. Everything else about his personality is stolen from someone else: His obsession of Ozzy is from Florentine, the whole recovery thing is from Colin and Vos, even his cadence/ delivery is a mix of Florentine and Colin. Even then he’s not really into sports, or mma for that matter, cause he knows nothing about any of those subjects. He doesn’t watch movies after 2004, and doesn’t watch TV shows. He’s mentioned reading books but it seems to be about shit that has to do with being a degenerate like American Psycho, Hogg or Rentboys. He doesn’t travel unless it’s for work, doesn’t have any kind of hobbies outside of sexual degeneracy and taking pictures with celebs. How are you going to be a cohost when you can’t talk about shit.
