Why do people always fall for the socialist “TAX THE RICH” stuff when cursory research sees they pay the most tax income?

Someone like Donald Trump has paid more in taxes in one year than I would pay in my lifetime.

I always explain it to retarded 20 year olds in simple terms with exaggerated numbers.

"Listen kid. If you made 40,000 in a year and paid 10% in taxes you would pay $4,000 in taxes. If super rich person made $2,000,000 but only paid an "unfair 5%" they would still pay $100,000 in taxes. Now quit complaining and get back to work."

The rich are taxed just fine.
It also leads to the inherent paradox/irony in which a government with a desire for social leveling becomes dependent on the wealthiest sections of society, because that's where the bulk of the necessary tax revenue for dem programs cones from. The 1% may own 50% of all the wealth, but the same kind of proportions apply to the income the state receives from them. The political system is unfortunately going to reflect this reality as well.

One thing's that for sure is that the middle class gets hit the hardest by "eat the rich" initiatives. The very wealthy might pay a higher percentage on average, but the actual tax burden and its knock on effects are considerably more serious for small time professionals and entrepreneurs. It can mean the difference between a business getting started up or dying and it can completely alter the trajectory a family's been on.

This is why wealthy, connected CEOs actually prefer higher taxes - it destroys competition while they have the ability to lobby for special tax breaks or funding.

Luke 6.20-21

Then he looked up at his disciples and said:

Same with minimum wage, some people simply aren’t worth it and increasing it too much leads to higher unemployment.

I get why you that upsets people, but it doesn’t make it any less true.

I’m pretty sure the blacks paid to be elevator attendants because they haven’t got the capacity to even work retail preferred that to nothing at all, and you are never going to force people to pay a lot of money for that position.

edit - new bit idea. NoBaconBibleposting.

DIdn't trump only pay like $500 in fed income tax?
Minimum wage is poison. Imagine being some 18 year old who just graduated high school and can't afford college and doesn't want to take out loans.

The 18 year old really wants to go be a plumber and inquiries about a position as an apprentice and is told he can do it for $13 an hour.

Kid is walking home and sees McDonald's is hiring, and it's at $15 an hour. Decides to go work at McDonald's so he can feel like he's earning more.

Doesn't realize that after 2 years he's making $16 an hour while sticking with the plumbing apprentice after 2 years he'd likely be a journeyman plumber charging $125 an hour with a minimum of 3 hours.
It must be a Puerto Rico thing where McD's pays more than apprenticeship. All the ones I've seen start at 20/hr. Doesn't your example also support a minimum wage as both jobs would pay 15/hr, with the trade having definite career advancement, thereby enticing the kid to make the wiser choice?

Also they argue that we can't stop importing immigrants because the economy depends on paying brown people $2/hour, but also the minimum wage should be $25.

They don't even realize it, but they're actually arguing for the existence of a permanently poor underclass.

You are probably right, but I do believe that anyone who is willing to work 40 hour weeks shouldn't live in poverty.

Agreed but that’s a different topic entirely about the devaluation of the currency.

Boomers have raped the country till there’s nothing left for anyone else lol. Where is my turn to rape it??

I pay enough fucking taxes. So far this year - $145k in fed income tax, $22k in state tax, $9k in med, and maxed out the $10k for soc sec for the year. $187k total. Fuck everyone who pays less than me.
There shouldn't be such a thing as maxing social security.

Ok so here's a more realistic scenario for you to follow based off of actual numbers.

California minimum wage at $20 is only for fast food workers. The rest of the state is $16 an hour.

That means there are chances of said scenario.

Some company that may give you better future opportunities but start you at $18 an hour.

Dumb 19 year old sees $20 and thinks it's better and choose McDonald's.

1 year later that $18 an hour job can become a $22 an hour job because of the future opportunities it was prospected initially to have.

McDonald's is still paying the minimum wage after a year which would have probably increased to $21 an hour.

So in the end less.

How is this some Facebook meme?
